• This presentation links with and builds on an earlier paper “Activities: Defining excellence in a Care Home”
• It focuses on how care homes can deliver excellence in a care home

An update on new standards and qualifications in social care 2011 has seen the radical changes in qualifications in health and social care with the replacement of NVQs with new diplomas. This seminar will give details of these new qualifications and will provide an update on further developments to develop qualifications for Continuing Professional Development. It will also include an overview of the refreshed Common Induction Standards and discuss the new project to review the Manager Induction Standards.
