NASHiCS NOW PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH A SAFETY INFORMATION PORTAL

Did you know that it can take only very short exposure to high temperatures to cause injury?
65°C a partial thickness burn in about 2 seconds.
60°C a partial thickness burn in about 5 seconds.
55°C a partial thickness burn in about 15 seconds.
50°C a partial thickness burn in about 90 seconds.
The first in a series of safety information briefings has been added to the NASHiCS website.
This guidance will assist in the recognition and management of the risks from scalding.
The briefings also signpost readers to websites where additional detailed information may be found.
Further safety information briefings for Asbestos and Legionella are available within the Safety Information P0rtal (SIP) in the Member’s area of the web site.
Non-members can visit the website www.nashics.org for information of the benefits of becoming a member and details of how to join, and how to gain access to the member’s area.
