Mountway celebrates 30 years of bringing independence to life
One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of independent living aids, Mountway is celebrating three decades of innovation within the healthcare sector this year as it approaches its 30th anniversary.
Established in 1981, Mountway has carved a reputation for the manufacture and distribution of quality products including its Neptune and Aquila bath lifts, Solo toilet lift and the latest addition to the product range, the ultra-lightweight Splash bath lift, as well as an extensive range of daily living aids.
Engineered to bring independence to individuals who have difficulty with daily living, Mountway’s in-house design team has pioneered innovative aids, which are now distributed across the UK, Europe and the US.
Mountway’s product development teams work in close partnership with healthcare professionals and consumers from concept design to post-launch surveillance in order that the user remains at the forefront of every product.
A signed-up member of the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) and its ethical Code of Practice, Mountway has gained recognition for quality over the years including Investors in People and ISO 9001.
Its longstanding commitment to customer care was recognised by the BHTA award for excellence in customer service and its customer care team works closely with care providers, local authorities and end users across the UK to ensure they have access to the information necessary to achieve the best from each product.
Menna Hughes, product marketing manager at Mountway, said: “We are participating at several events this year, where we will be exhibiting an extensive range of equipment for assisted and independent living as well as running moving and handling workshops focused on several areas of the home. We are exhibiting at the Care Show, Birmingham on 22-23 June (stand E32) followed by NAEP Conference (Blackpool) on 21-23 June (stand 55).
“Maintaining the highest levels of customer service through value-engineered products has been at the heart of what we do for 30 years and we have always listened to our customers in order to improve our range and continuously evolve to meet their changing needs. We are very much looking forward to continuing our growth in the coming years and maintaining pole position in the sector.”
