WIRELESS NURSE CALL – MAXIMISING EFFICIENCY & VALUE FOR MONEY
With financial challenges facing us all, there has never been a greater need to offer simpler, more cost effective and innovative solutions to ensure the maximum potential is squeezed out of every penny and to focus on delivering ‘better value-for-money’.
Understanding the encounters facing today’s Care Homes is crucial, especially when developing smarter ways of working, for example, through reliable, efficient and safe nurse call technology. Wireless (radio systems) give all the functionality of a hard wired system but with the added benefits of meeting tight cash constraints, being quick and easy to install and offering complete flexibility.
The flexible nature of a two-way, wireless system, such as Aid Calls unique Touchsafe®, could revolutionise the way nurse call communications are managed for both clients and staff. The ‘wire free’ nature of the system allows the call points to be located in any location, with only the minimum of disruptive installation works and, of course, does not require large amounts of cable. This ensures a quick and easy deployment, removing the need to change staff schedules or to move clients from their rooms.
Because the system is radio based, it is infinitely changeable and expandable, allowing for the constant ability to deal quickly with the ever changing clinical priorities and demands.
Aid Call offer a unique wireless nurse call system which combines safety critical features and leading edge, innovative technologies to meet these demands, such as the development of an advanced, two-way, Class 1, safety critical radio nurse call solution. All touchable elements of the system are embedded with anti-microbial additives to help combat the spread of infection.
There is a centrally placed display panel, which has a full alpha-numeric screen that shows room/location names, resident’s names so that staff can clearly see who is calling for assistance and can also show the attending nurses identification. It has an on-screen map facility as well medical reminders and all events are logged to provide audit trail.
The call point features a LCD screen, which displays a ‘Next Call Waiting’ message, enabling the nurse to see the next message without having return to the central station or carry expensive pocket pagers. This enables staff to use their time more effectively, improving staff response times, reducing unnecessary journeys and improving the overall quality of care offered to clients.
