Marney is an independent occupational therapist specialising in design of inclusive and accessible housing. Core to her practice is an interest in the impact of environment on behaviour and wellbeing. She is co-author of Adaptations Without Delay. She has an MA in Design Research for Disability and developed the Housing LIN resource: Occupational Therapists: helping to get the housing design right. She is recipient of the Elma Shearer award for excellence in promoting occupational therapy in housing. Marney is currently a PhD candidate at Lab4Living, Sheffield Hallam University investigating the impact of visual aesthetic on identity in dementia.
