Independent legal trainer and author,
Michael Mandelstam has delivered independent legal training on health and social care for 25 years. Before that, he worked at the Department of Health for a period, following ten years at the Disabled Living Foundation. He has written many legal books including, most recently: Care Act 2014 Law and Practice (2017), Safeguarding Adults and the Law (3rd edition, 2019), Home adaptations: Care Act 2014 and related provision (RCOT, 2016) - and Coronavirus: legal and practical implications for occupational therapists working in social care in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (RCOT, November 2020). He is also author of Manual Handling in Health and Social Care (2nd edition, forthcoming 2021) – and of the legal chapter in the Handling of People (7th edition forthcoming 2021).
