Nicola Bellotto

Dr Nicola Bellotto is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Lincoln. His main research interests are in machine perception, especially for human detection, tracking, identification and activity recognition with autonomous mobile robots. He obtained a PhD from the University of Essex and worked as post-doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. Dr Bellotto participated to several research projects in mobile robotics and assistive technology. In particular, he was the technical manager of ENRICHME, an EU-funded research project to enable older people to be more active and independent using robotic and smart-home solutions, and the recipient of a Google Faculty Research Award to develop a new mobile navigation aid for people with visual impairments.
