Siobhan is a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist who has been working in the community for 21 years. She started researching prevention of pressure ulcers in the community for her dissertation 2012. It was here she begun to see a clear gap in the research on community and long term care settings, prevention guidance and the relevance of early identification. Siobhan has dedicated her work to raising awareness and influencing change in practice in the community and long term care settings across all nursing and non-medical disciplines. She has published her work implementing a Visual tool and adapted SSKIN bundle in to community’s and care homes and has won quality improvement award for her work at European pressure ulcer advisor panel (EPUAP).
