Do adult social care organisations have what it takes to innovate? What needs to change?

09 Oct 2024
Business Theatre

The Supporting Adult Social Care Innovation project ( is dedicated to building evidence about how to support the adult social care sector to start-up, implement and spread affordable innovations that work well for everyone. We will share findings from the project, focusing on what we have learnt about the characteristics of innovative organisations and our survey of care organisations in which we explored whether organisations think they have the capabilities for innovation, such as leadership and learning, their experiences of barriers to innovation and what support would help. The audience will be invited to question our findings, consider what changes (if any) they will make having listened to our findings and identify the systemic barriers they think are in most need of being broken down.
