Gerda Security Products Showcases Fire Doorsets with Care-Assist™ for residents at the Care Show 2024
The Contemporary Range™ and the Safer Homes Range™ with Care-Assist™ are fire doorsets specifically designed for residents requiring assistance with access or for those with restricted mobility.
These high-quality, multi-performance steel and timber doorsets respectively, offer robust, automated assistance for both opening and closing, ensuring a safer and more accessible environment. Suitable for both internal and external applications, the Care-Assist™ feature provides full functional integrity of any living space.
Why our doorsets are different?
Safety and longevity are the key criteria in doorset design for Gerda Security. We consider all aspects of the doorset type, its function, building regulations, performance criteria and innovation to help improve the living environment.
Known for our quality and holistic approach, we rigorously test our doorset designs at UKAS accredited test houses in extensive primary-owned tests for different styles and configurations.
With options of one hour or thirty-minute doorsets, the ranges offer comprehensive design using high-performance materials, engineered to resist fire for significant durations and frequently surpassing the requisite time requirements in industry tests.
All our doorset ranges carry independent UKAS accredited third party certification.
Rigorous Testing and Certification
As a trusted partner in building safety, we take doorset design extremely seriously. We have been designing and developing doorsets to offer the optimum performance to our customers for nearly 30 years.
We do not rely on third party cascaded designs or test evidence. Our technical teams consider all aspects of building regulation, performance criteria and innovation to solve challenges and to improve the living environment for residents. A doorset has interdependent parts - all of which play a vital role to make up the whole doorset and how that doorset performs. All Gerda’s doorset ranges are designed for multiperformance.
Our designs undergo extensive primary testing to ensure consistency across all configurations and options. This means that every locking system option or door closer option for example, is tested within the same doorset construction every time. Not just for fire resistance and smoke control but also for other aspects of required performance criteria - either internal or external.
We are certified and audited through a UKAS accredited certification body for the design and manufacture of fire doorsets. Coupled with digital traceability through the G-Smart App, our designs incorporate each doorset’s ‘golden thread’.
All this leads to a complete finished compliant doorset tailored to your building.
