Care Innovation Challenge semi-finalists are getting ready to take part in Care Show Birmingham
The 2025 Care Innovation Challenge programme kicked-off with the Challenge Weekend at Coventry University’s Techno Centre on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June. During the Innovation Weekend our budding entrepreneurs took part in two days of discovery, business planning and problem-solving with our fantastic team of mentors. And then at the end of day two, each team delivered their five minute pitch.
Our judges then deliberated before choosing the five semi-finalists who are now preparing to present their innovations to the Birmingham Care Show in October.
The culmination of the weekend was the selection of five teams and individuals to present their ideas on the Care Innovation Challenge stand (C10) at The Care Show, the largest care event in the UK, on 8th and 9th October at the NEC in Birmingham. The winner will receive £1,000 in prize money, media coverage and further mentoring to develop their idea.
Ahead of the Care Show, the five semi-finalists are being given the opportunity to speak to care workers and residents during a visit to NCF members, St Monica Trust’s Chocolate Quarter retirement village in Bristol where they will be able to gain vital feedback on their ideas from residents. NCF are also delivering additional learning to semi-finalists including an online session which will provide tips around the vital considerations when thinking about incorporating AI into their businesses.
Congratulations to the successful 2025 semi-finalists!!
