Celebrating Excellence in Laundry: Winners of the 2025 Love Laundry Awards Announced

Birmingham, UK – 8 October 2025 – WASHCO is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Love 
Laundry Awards, honouring outstanding individuals and teams in the care and nursing home laundry 
sector. The awards ceremony, held at the Care Show, celebrated the unsung heroes who ensure 
residents receive the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and care.


The event recognised excellence across four categories: Laundry Leadership, Laundry Trailblazer, 
Laundry Sustainability
, and Laundry Hero.


“I’m very proud to celebrate the care and nursing home laundry industry and recognise the people 
who make a difference every day,” said Pete Hosking, WASHCO’s Managing Director. “While 
reviewing all the nominations, it was wonderful to read the stories of dedication, sustainability, and 
community impact. All nominees deserve our recognition, and the Love Laundry Awards aim to 
celebrate them all.”


2025 Love Laundry Award Winners


Love Laundry Leadership Award
Winner: Dilgir Kaur – Chalfont Lodge Care Centre, Barchester
Dilgir was recognised for her exceptional leadership in managing laundry and housekeeping services, 
ensuring smooth operations through training, safety, and resident care.

“I feel over the moon. I'm just so happy about it. And we are just lucky to have received the award. I 
am humbled and really honoured to be recognised for excellence,” said Dilgir.

Love Laundry Trailblazer Award
Winner: The Gables Residential Home

The Gables team was celebrated for their forward-thinking approach and teamwork, bringing 
innovation and meaning to the laundry room.

Love Laundry Sustainability Award
Winner: Sharon Streeter – Belmont House, Aria Care

Sharon was honoured for her proactive contributions to environmental goals and sustainable laundry 
practices.

“I’m speechless and overwhelmed. Just very pleased,” said Sharon.

Love Laundry Hero Award
Winner: Caroline Hebditch – Sutton Lodge, Bupa

Caroline was recognised for her exceptional dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness 
and care in the laundry room.

“I'm very surprised, very shocked, very happy. I love our home. I love our residents. And I love looking 
after all their laundry, making sure everything's neat and tidy. Thank you very much,” said Caroline.

Each winner received a £250 voucher to spend on electrical goods, in recognition of their outstanding 
contributions.
