The Care Workers' Charity Opportunities

Since 2020, we've awarded over £7 million in grants to more than 14,205 care workers across the UK

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Care Workers' Charity. Every donation, every fundraiser, every act of support you've given has helped us provide crisis grants and mental health support to care workers when they've needed it most.

If you'd like to support us further, here are two fundraising opportunities coming up.

Thames Moonlight 10

Sign-up closes on 18th August, so don't leave it too late!

Join us for a magical Friday evening walk that lights up the city. The Thames Moonlight 10 is a fully supported 10km or 10-mile evening walk through London's most iconic sights, all in support of The Care Workers' Charity.

Starting and finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground, this looped route takes in St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and the London Eye as daylight fades into night. It's part of Professional Care Workers' Week, taking place from 14th to 18th September 2026.

Location: The Oval, Kennington, Central London Date: Friday 11th September 2026 Distance options: 10km or 10 miles Start times: 10km 18:00–19:00, 10 miles 16:30–17:30

Included: a fully signed and supported route, snacks along the way, an event T-shirt and souvenir medal, hot food and drink at the finish, and an event app with all the details you need.

Every step you take helps fund financial support for care workers facing hardship, mental health resources and wellbeing services, and advocacy across the care sector.

Group offer: sign up as a team of five or more and pay a reduced £30 registration fee per person, with your fundraising target lowered to £200 (down from £300). Just let us know you've registered as a group and we'll adjust your target.

Run the London Marathon 2027 for The Care Workers' Charity

Applications are now open, and we have two spots available.

This is your chance to take on one of the world's most iconic races while making a real difference to care workers across the UK. Every mile you run helps raise vital funds and shines a spotlight on the people who care for others every day.

The successful applicants will pay a discounted registration fee of £200 (50% of the standard £400 deposit) and commit to raising a minimum of £2,500. If the fundraising target isn't met, the runner will be responsible for covering the remaining balance.

As part of Team CWC, you'll receive a guaranteed marathon place, an official Care Workers' Charity running vest, dedicated fundraising support from our team, and promotion of your story across our website and social media.

Will you be the one to run for Care Workers?
