Broadway Events and CloserStill Media launch a ‘Trusted Care Event’ Stamp to indicate events that are focused on improving the social care sector
Trusted Care Event stamp

With over 100 events targeting the UK social care sector, it is very difficult for care providers to choose which events to attend.

Broadway Events and CloserStill Media have joined forces to launch a ‘Trusted Care Event’ stamp, which indicates that their events are focusing on improving the sector and wanting to make an active difference within social care.

Training courses, events, e-learning programs, conferences, workshops, and seminars could all be certified with the ‘Trusted Care Event’ stamp of approval.

See some of the care events that have been awarded the ‘Trusted Care Event’ stamp of approval in 2022:

  • Care Show – NEC Birmingham – 12-13 October 2022
  • Care Roadshow London – Epsom Downs Racecourse – 18 October 2022
  • Future of Care Conference North – Harrogate – 1 November 2022
  • Care Roadshow Cardiff – Cardiff City Stadium – 15 November 2022

CloserStill Media, specialise in global professional events within the social care, healthcare, and technology markets. The healthcare portfolio includes some of the UK’s fastest growing and award-winning events, such as the Care Show and The Residential & Home Care Show.

The Care Show is 20 years old and was launched by Emma Barrett, Managing Director of Broadway Events. In 2018, CloserStill acquired the Care Show from UBM (now Informa), with the goal of making it become the must attend event in the social care calendar. Evolving the national trade show to focus on improving care standards, quality of care environments, developing personal skills and bringing the country together.

The Residential & Home Care Show was launched in 2015 by CloserStill Media and has become the “who’s who” event of the sector, welcoming senior care professional from across the country. Co-located with The Healthcare Show and the Digital Healthcare Show, it is a rare opportunity for the entire health and social care community to collaborate. Giving care providers a large active voice within an NHS event, making it a unique experience for everyone involved.

Launched in 2011 by Broadway Events, Care Roadshows introduced a new type of event; the only UK care events to reach the entire sector in five locations across the United Kingdom. The smaller intimate shows provide care providers an experience that allows for quality conversations with the decision makers in the healthcare sector. For visitors, the day offers updates from government regulators, the chance to expand networks and source support for the biggest challenges across the industry.

The Future of Care Conference launched in 2017 by Broadway Events, set out to build a better future for the sector by bringing key trends, challenges and developments in the care industry in front of the people who matter. The conference has grown year on year, acquiring the trust of care professionals from across the UK. Leaders from the NHS, Department of Health and Social Care, Institute for Government and Care Quality Commission have been welcomed to speak throughout the years, as well as speakers from the principal care associations across the United Kingdom.

Mike Corbett, Group Event Director at CloserStill Media and organiser of the Care Show and The Residential & Home Care show said: I am delighted to be working closer with Broadway Events and sharing ideas and best practice to help improve our events. This alliance will allow us to have a wider understanding of what care providers need and want, which should lead to us creating more opportunities within our events which will have a positive impact for suppliers and care providers. It has been a pleasure to speak about why Emma Barrett launched the Care Show all those years ago, and that we share the same passion of reigniting social care, while also creating entertaining and educating events.”

In the pledge to improve social care efficiency, we have an exciting announcement coming up on 1 February 2023 to further build the partnership with Broadway Events and other Trusted Care Event providers.
