Anyone who has worked a morning medication round in a care home knows the pressure: many residents, a short window, loose tablets, blister packs and charts, all while residents wait for their medication before getting on with their day. Evondos Nora is designed to take the repetitive handling out of that round, so staff can focus on the part that needs a person.

Nora is a small, lightweight, CE-marked automated medication dispenser that sits in the resident's own room. A pharmacy prepares each resident's medication into sealed pouches, printed with their name and dose time and joined into a roll, so no loose tablets are handled on the floor. At the scheduled time, the button and clock ring change colour, an audible signal sounds and an optional spoken reminder can be added. One press dispenses the pouch onto an illuminated tray. If a dose is missed, the button turns red and the dose can still be taken within a set window, and the care team is notified. Refills are periodic rather than a daily task.

In a care home, Nora goes hand in hand with human care. The carer is still present; what changes is that the dose is already prepared and ready when they arrive. They can hand it over, see it taken and move on, or stay when there is a reason to stay. Because staff are there, Nora can also support residents who could not manage a dispenser independently at home, including people with dexterity difficulties, cognitive impairment or several medicines a day.

Nora stays connected to the care team, with access to schedules, dispensing history and device status, giving managers a clear digital record of what was dispensed and when, useful evidence when preparing for CQC inspection. Built for regulated care environments and backed by 24/7 support, Nora can be introduced with a small group of residents and scaled across a home.

Join us to see how Nora can help speed up medication rounds, lighten the load on staff and give time back for the care only a person can give.
