FILT’RAY Compact tap filters
Made from ABS, cartridges feature tubular membrane microfiltration to eliminate waterborne microorganisms. The membrane is made from polyethylene and has a pore cut-off threshold of 0.1μm nominal-rated and 0.2μm absolute-rated sterilising grade. The hollow fibre membranes have multiple pores which vary in size from 0.01 - 0.1 micron. Each membrane consists of several surfaces with microporous structures (micro slits). Bacteria and any particles in suspension that are larger than 0.1µm are trapped by these structures and retained permanently on the external surface of the membrane. Filter lifespans are available from 1 to 4 months delivering between a total volume of 3,000 to 12,000 litres of qualified water.
Due to its compact nature, the range of filters is suitable for taps with a low spout height. Retro-contamination is carefully controlled thanks to a protective skirt and angled connector for optimal positioning. The filter position can be adjusted so the water does not flow directly on to the waste. The filters can be connected quickly to provide immediate protection. The shower head filter screws on to all standard shower hoses, and tap filters connect to the outlet without the need for any tools.
The FILT’RAY compact filter will withstand thermal shocks at 70°C for 30 minutes. It will also withstand chemical shocks with active chlorine levels up to 100 ppm for 2 hours cumulative total.
