TESSA Tools: Custom AI Prompt Packs for Social Care
A prompt is the instruction your staff gives an AI system, and it shapes what the system notices, omits and produces. In social care, weak instructions can remove the person's voice, miss evidence, soften risk or introduce material that is absent from the record.
TESSA Tools builds custom prompt packs around the documents and workflows your organisation uses. Each commission begins by mapping the task, the people using the prompt, the information involved and the checks required before an output enters a record.
Prompt packs can support:
- case notes and daily records
- assessments and care planning
- chronologies and summaries
- supervision and reflective practice
- safeguarding and risk
- reports for panels or court
An agreed pack can include reusable prompts, staff instructions, information boundaries, a verification checklist and a practical implementation session.
Every prompt is structured through VERA:H. VERA is what the practitioner supplies before the writing begins: Voice, Evidence, Reason and Attribution. The :H is the human who remains in the loop, carrying four professional responsibilities that AI cannot hold: Verify, Ethics, Responsibility and Accountability.
Prompts are built for the AI approved by your organisation. Where Microsoft 365 is already in place, they can be used with Copilot Chat at no additional licence cost.
TESSA Tools is led by Nadia Hajat, an independent social worker and Professional Doctorate researcher who has written the records herself and tests the prompts directly.
At Care Show Birmingham, visit stand IN03 and bring one workflow your team wants to improve. We will talk through what the prompt needs to contain and what staff must check.
