When CQC, a commissioner or your quality team asks how staff use AI, the evidence sits in day-to-day practice. Staff need to understand what information can be entered, how AI-assisted records must be checked, where professional judgement enters a decision and when concerns must be escalated.

TESSA Training turns these requirements into a structured learning programme for social care. It gives providers a clear record of what staff have learned, how their understanding was checked and where managers retain oversight.

Seven sequential modules cover:

• AI Foundations for Social Care
• Ethics, Bias and Data Protection
• Prompt Engineering with VERA:H
• AI in Daily Practice
• Governance, Quality and Practice Leadership
• Anti-Oppressive AI Practice
• Safeguarding with AI

The full programme provides 8.5 certified CPD hours. All seven modules are certified by IQN. A dedicated governance module supports registered managers and senior leaders with oversight, quality assurance and escalation.

Each module includes a knowledge check. The organisation dashboard records progress, quiz scores and completion, giving managers evidence for supervision, CPD records and the training matrix.

TESSA Training is system agnostic. Staff can learn with the AI approved by their organisation. Where Microsoft 365 is already in place, exercises can be completed with Copilot Chat at no additional licence cost.

The programme is built and delivered by Nadia Hajat, an independent social worker and Professional Doctorate researcher examining AI literacy and accountability in practice.
