When a visit needs urgent or ad-hoc cover, the provider's own team comes first. If nobody in the team can take it, and the provider has switched Nanum Mode on, a manager can search for a carer from other consenting providers nearby.

Three decisions shape how it works.

Identities stay private until approval. A manager looking at the options does not see the carer's name, their employer or their exact location. The client's details are not shown to the carer until the request has been approved on both sides.

Both sides approve. The manager chooses and sends a request. The carer's own provider reviews and approves it before anything is confirmed. Nanum never books another provider's carer on its own.

Pay is protected. A carer's rate with their own provider is always protected. Nanum Mode is a way for providers to share capacity, not to compete on carer pay.

Nanum Mode is off unless a provider switches it on. Providers who want Nanum only for their own rota, care records, medication and invoicing can use it without ever turning cross-provider cover on.
