Chris Watson is a social care consultant with over 25 years’ experience in commissioning, self-directed support, and rights-based approaches. Founder of Self Directed Futures and Chair of the SDS Network England, he specialises in transforming adult social care through personalisation, market shaping, and direct payments. Chris works nationally with families, providers, and local authorities to co-design better systems and promote citizenship. He combines strategic insight with hands-on advocacy with a focus on working alongside people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
