Emily Pimm

National Practice Innovation Lead, Workforce Delivery, Skills for Care
Emily Pimm is a National Professional Lead for Nursing at Skills for Care, supporting work to develop and champion the social care nursing workforce. She leads a range of national programmes, including work on delegated healthcare activities, nurse prescribing, workforce development and professional practice. A registered adult nurse for over 20 years, Emily spent 15 years working in social care before joining Skills for Care. Her experience spans frontline practice, leadership and system-wide improvement, with a particular interest in the care of older people and supporting people living with dementia. Emily is also a former Co-Chair of the South West Social Care Nursing Advisory Council (SNAC), where she worked with colleagues across the region to promote and strengthen social care nursing. Emily is a Queen's Nurse, a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar alumna and a recipient of the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care Gold Award.
