Driving Miss Daisy UK
Gemma Lock is the Chief Executive Officer of Driving Miss Daisy UK, leading the organisation’s strategic growth and positioning within the UK’s health and social care system.
With over 18 years’ experience, Gemma has worked across home care, live-in care, and integrated service delivery in partnership with the NHS, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and local authorities. Prior to joining Driving Miss Daisy, she was Group Head of Commercial at Trinity Homecare, where she led on service development, partnership growth and alignment with system priorities including hospital discharge, community capacity and preventative care.
Gemma specialises in developing scalable, person-centred models that support “Home First” pathways, reduce delayed discharges, and strengthen community-based provision. She is particularly focused on bridging gaps between regulated care, non-emergency transport and social support, enabling individuals to access services, maintain independence and reduce reliance on acute settings.
As CEO, Gemma is driving the expansion of Driving Miss Daisy as a trusted, community-based partner, supporting ICS objectives around prevention, flow, and improved outcomes across health and care systems.
