James Bullion

James Bullion joined CQC as Interim Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care and Integrated Care in June 2023. James was previously Executive Director of Adult Social Services at Norfolk County Council. He was also a member of the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board. As president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) in 2020-21, James supported and advocated for people using care during the pandemic. He has also been the ADASS representative supporting the development of our new assessments of local authorities. James has been working with the Department of Health and Social Care on their plans to ensure people can leave hospital when they are well enough to do so.
