Karen Roberts RNLD, QN is Head of Health and Clinical Governance at Lifeways and has nearly 30 years' experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Qualifying as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse in 1996, she joined Lifeways in 1998 and has spent the past 28 years leading improvements in health, well being, and person-centred care. Karen provides strategic clinical leadership across services. A passionate advocate for reducing health inequalities and promoting the value of Learning Disability Nursing, she was awarded the Queen's Nurse title in 2017 and the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care Gold Award in 2024.
