Louise Keane has worked as a nurse for 30 years across health and social care. Her roles have included setting up and managing a step-down unit during COVID-19, working as a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspector, serving as a local authority service manager and leading education for adult social care (ASC) staff in North Central London. Louise champions digital technology in adult social care, the expansion of student nurse placements and the health and well-being of the ASC workforce. She is committed to ensuring nurses and care staff have access to high-quality education and training, co-produced with staff and residents. She also advocates for research in adult social care, encouraging ASC nurses to become actively involved. Louise has received numerous awards recognising her work in digital technology, education, and health and well-being. She is proud to be a Queen’s Nurse and a recipient of the Adult Social Care Chief Nurse Gold Award for her outstanding contributions to nursing in adult social care.
