Paula has been Senior Nursing Adviser for Advanced Practice since August 2023. Prior to this Paula was Head of Education and Quality Assurance at the NMC. Paula is a registered general nurse and remains clinically active as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in general practice. Paula has worked in a number of senior clinical and academic roles, across primary and secondary care, and education. More recently Paula has worked nationally to support high quality learning for the healthcare workforce. In her current role, Paula is providing leadership for the NMCs work into whether additional regulation of advanced nursing and midwifery practitioners.
