Dr. Phil Hammond retired from the NHS in 2022 after 35 years, but continues as a journalist, broadcaster, comedian, and campaigner. He was a GP for 20 years, worked in sexual health and chronic fatigue, and lectured at Birmingham and Bristol universities. He presented Trust Me, I’m a Doctor for five BBC2 series and is Private Eye’s medical correspondent. His books include Dr Hammond’s Covid Casebook, a Sunday Times bestseller. As a comedian, he won awards with Struck Off and Die and performed multiple solo tours and Radio 4 shows.
