Laura Shallcross

Laura is a public health doctor by background and a Professor at UCL. She led the national VIVALDI (COVID-19 in care homes) study which shaped public health policy during the pandemic, for example by showing the importance of paying sick pay to care home staff. Her major focus is working in partnership with care home staff, residents, their relatives, providers and policymakers to reduce the impact of infections and outbreaks in care homes.
