Sarah is Chief Social Worker at the Department of Health and Social Care. Previously Sarah worked as Deputy Chief Executive of in the Royal Borough of Greenwich where she was also Director of Health and Adult Services and the integrated Place Executive Lead for South East London ICB. She started her social work career working with people with HIV/AIDs in West London and has 30 years’ experience working in several London Boroughs, including senior roles in commissioning and operational delivery, and was Director of Adult Social Services in Camden. In 2022/23 she was President of the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADASS). Sarah has previously worked as a civil servant, leading national policy for mental health, dementia and disabilities
