Sibtain Nandjy is a registered pharmacist, CQC Registered Manager, and one of the most forward-thinking leaders in clinical care and medication management. With a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) and more than a decade of frontline experience as a pharmacist and store manager at Boots, Sibtain has witnessed first hand the pressures that carers and nurses face in trying to keep residents safe while also offering dignity and compassion.

It was this experience, coupled with his deep empathy for the vulnerable, that led him to challenge the status quo. Early in his career, he saw the risks and inefficiencies of paper based medication systems in care homes. He knew there had to be a better way. Out of that conviction grew the vision for Empathika, a medication management platform built not in theory, but on the care home floor, shaped by lived frustrations and the urgent need for safer, simpler, more human systems.

As Chief Medical Officer of Empathika and Director of Pharmaceutical Compliance and Clinical Risk Management at Langdale Care Homes, Sibtain has helped to redefine what safe medication management looks like. From controlled drug governance to PRN protocols, from insulin safety to pharmacy integration, Empathika’s features carry his hallmark of precision, clinical rigour, and compassion.

His thought leadership has been recognised through published articles on clinical safety and compliance, and nationally as a finalist for Innovator of the Year at the Social Care Leadership Awards 2024 and a nominee for Care Leader of the Year.
