Steve Sinnott

Group Head of Quality and Compliance, Alcedo Care
Steve Sinnott – Group Head of Quality and Compliance, Alcedo Care Steve joined Alcedo Care in 2020 and moved into the Group Head of Quality and Compliance role in 2024. Alcedo is a family-owned and -run business, and it feels just like that to him every day at work. His professional career in Social Care, Health and Housing has taken him through various roles, including Commissioning, Contracting, Business Development, Operational Management, Research and Consultancy, and even Management Accounting in his early working years. Understanding the purchaser's perspective helps him in his work as a provider. Ensuring Alcedo's activities are safe, compliant and high quality is Steve's main focus, driving the company's Quality Assurance processes to continually improve performance. He spends much of his time providing compliance, safeguarding and policy advice and support to the Managers, using Alcedo's systems. He was heavily involved in the transition to the One Touch system in October 2022 and has continued to support its development ever since. Alcedo Care has a very diverse service offering, which means every day is interesting. Steve particularly enjoys working closely with the Complex Care Teams to develop and improve efficiency across the business. He also gets a lot of satisfaction from hearing feedback from clients and their families about the impact Alcedo's frontline staff have on their lives. This makes him proud to be part of the team driving forward the quality of what they do every day. On a personal level, Steve loves his holidays but also loves being at home, especially relaxing in the garden. An avid animal lover, he counts his two large and very entertaining Maine Coon cats, Tom and Jerry, among the great loves of his life. His other great passion is drawing and painting, especially animals. Spending time in his little art studio in the garden helps him relax and unwind.
