getting to the NEC
Care Show is held at the NEC, Birmingham. The NEC is very easy to access from all parts of the UK with easy access from the M6, M1, M40 and the M42 motorways.
The NEC is clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 – just pop B40 1NT into your Sat Nav. Once you arrive on site, please ignore the Sat Nav and simply follow the digital screens which will display the show name for directions to the relevant car park. Then hop onto one of the free shuttle buses to access the venue. (NB: blue badge holders should follow the appropriate blue signage and must ensure their blue badge is visible to traffic staff).
NOTE: NEC Birmingham have updated their parking payments and the new hybrid ANPR-enable barrier solution will requite all car park users to interact with the system differently
You now have three options to pay for parking:
- Advanced booking: Visitors can book parking online in advance up until midnight the day before arrival, at a reduced rate
- On-the-day in venue payment: Visitors who have not booked in advance should make a payments at the pay-on-foot machines in the venue by entering their vehicle registration number
- On-the-day online payment: Visitors can also pay online on-the-day once parked at the venue, through the new payment portal, by entering vehicle registration number.
Pre-pay for parking online before the day of your visit and you can make a saving of £5* (T&C's apply). That's one less thing to think about on the day! *Offer only applies to the standard on-the-day rate.
The train is also easy, with the NEC being served by Birmingham International Station. The NEC is connected by a covered bridge link directly from the station.
If you are coming from further afield, Birmingham International Airport is located on the NEC complex and is a short walk to the halls.

The NEC is served by Birmingham International Station, connected by a covered bridge link. London is only 90 minutes away and trains also run direct to many regional towns and cities.
There are several ticketing websites or apps, like Trainline and National Rail that can help you find cheap train tickets, and compare prices and times.

If you are driving to the NEC, you can make use of 16,500 parking spaces. You can also pick from a range of payment methods including Pre-Paid Parking. Pre-Paid Parking is only valid in NEC operated car parks and not valid in Resorts World, Birmingham operated car parks at the NEC. Please note there is a daily charge from £12.85 for a car including all blue badge holders.

WARNING: HOTEL BOOKING SCAM
It has come to our attention that there is a scam operating around hotel accommodation bookings at the NEC Birmingham.
Company calling itself CONVENTION EXPO TRAVEL and GLOBAL TRAVEL ASSOCIATION have been approaching companies at the show purporting to be the official hotel booking agency for the show and taking credit card details and bookings without making any such bookings with the hotels concerned.
We have discovered from fellow exhibition organising companies, that other trade shows’ exhibitors have also been approached in similar fashion.
We would advise you if you are contacted by CONVENTION EXPO TRAVEL or GLOBAL TRAVEL ASSOCIATION, do NOT under any circumstances make a booking with them or give any credit card details.
